SHARP FLOWERS SCENT IN TOMOHON, NORTH SULAWESI

In the cold climate in the height of Tomohon city, wind blowing the sharp scent of flowers covered the city when annual International flower festival held in August 8 - 12, 2016.The soil of Tomohon city and beyond were fertilize, fit for growing flowers.

Tomohon in the Nort tip of the island is a picturesque, cool town at the foot of the mountains and tempted to enjoy the atmosphere for stay longer.  Its main produce is flowers, from chrysanthemums to dahlias, lilies and other colorful flowers that are planted not only in large plots but also in gardens along the main road. When in bloom they decorate the entire city.  The good scent spread in the air of the city.

This year is the 6th, attended by 23 foreign countries such as Japan, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, US and look like the festival in Pasadena city, California US.
The Tomohon International flower festival 2016 highlighted with the Tournament of flowers decorated floats parade, The Flower queen beauty pageant, Flowers and horticulture exhibition, and also various Art and cultural performances.  
How to get there ? Fly from Jakarta - Makassar - Manado then take a car to Tomohon city in the South just one hour drive. Don't forget to take your coat to prevent the nice cold weather.

In the city you would feel and see many churches, indicated that Tomohon is the center for religious Christian who lived in harmony with Moslem, the mayority of Indonesian.

This is the one interesting spot to visit in East of Indonesia beyond to many other spots such as cultural, natural beauty, sea, beach etc.
